Group eMail, is it possible.

I want to send emails to the same 10 people repeatedly. Is it possible to set up either mail or contacts so that one contact launches all 10 addresses into mail so that I can contact the entire group. I don't want to manually add each address every week.

I searched knowledgebase and did not find any solution.

Thanks

Hi Susan

You need to check what the limit for number of contacts per email is for your own email provider, but 100 is the limit for most email services (such as iCloud.com.) This is claimed to be a spam-prevention measure.

If you need to send to more than 100 contacts, you may need to create two different groups and send to each seperately.

Thank you. I broke list into three parts. It appeared that there were a couple of names on the list the email address listed as a secondary contact instead of primary (or missing altogether). I think that blocked transfer from Contacts to Mail. Nevertheless, the smaller groups enable me to send out more quickly as well as to add to list when needed. Thanks again!

Yes, I think we have to conclude that Apple Address Book is very non-intuitive for sending mail to a contact or group of contacts.

None of the above works for me, but you could try this one.

Mail v 5.3:

Do Window / Address Panel

Under the first column (Group), select the group.

Click on To: or CC: or Bcc:.

-- The individual contacts are loaded into the appropriate addressee field of the current message being composed.

-- Or if there is no current message being composed, a new message is first created.

-- You can then load additional contacts into the same message by selecting them and clicking on To: or CC: or Bcc:.
