Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding. What do I do?

I can't get to google.com or yahoo.com or anything, although my network is o.k. I'm connected to the Internet, but I can't get to a page. I get this message : "Cannot Open Page. Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding."

Please help me, someone.

Thanks,

Manitwo

I myself exerpienced this issue for about the last month, believing it to be a campus network problem; however, I managed to revive Safari by simply going to Settings → scroll down to Safari → in Safari settings, I selected both Clear History and Clear Cookies and Data.

I also turned off the reading list's use of cellular data, but that most likely didn't affect Safari's ability to work once again.

Hope this helps, good luck! 🙂
