Mountain Lion redemption code has already been used

Just gone through the process to get a redemption code for Mountain Lion. Successfully received the PDF that contained the code, tried to redeem it in the Mac App store and got an error saying:

"This code has already been used. Each code may only be used once."

Oh dear. Are they sending out duplicates? What should I do now?

There are always torrent-files or nzb-files 😉. The official md5 can be found online so...you can verify it's clean. I'm not implying you should do anything like that but hey it's not that Apple is helpful in any way.

Well if I wanted to do that, I would have had it days ago 🙂

I'm also an Apple Dev, so could have just run with the Beta releases. But it's the principle of the thing, and I like painful experiences 🙂

So here's my update:

I received my redeem code almost immediately Wed. morning when I applied though the up to date program. However, it failed to work. I contacted tech support Wednesday afternoon and they said they couldn't help me that I would need to contact Apple at uptodate@apple.com. So I received a second redeem code at 4:30 AM today. That code was accepted by the app store, but I was not able to actually download the update. The app icon said waitng all day long. This evening when I contacted tech support again, they simply said they would send yet again a THIRD redeem code that I would be receiving in the next 24 hours.

This is my worse tech support experience of my entire life. The premium price attached to apple products is not justified by the level of service. I'm new to the macbook family, is this typical of all their updates?

I just got mine installed about an hour ago 🙂 It's awesome, I have the MacBook Pro Retina It took 15 mins to Install, the only bummer is PowerNap for the Retina is a firmware download not yet available.

I did notice thou this update took up quite a bit more HDD space than Lion, it seems almost 15 Gig more. But I must say, it's an awesome update. BTW we are a bunch of babies so we got it 24-36 hours late, heck look what's happening in the world and we complained over a $20.00 update.

Same issue here, went to local Apple store here. Still no luck , asked to wait for 48 hours.Apple should understand, when customer pays premium price , they expect similar service too. $ 20 is nothing but it is matter of principle, I bought my macbook air on july 22nd , I could have easily waited 2 extra days if I knew , This is how Apple is treating its customers.
