Mountain Lion Redemption code already used?

24 hours since I emailed uptodate support, and not even an aswer.

This is Dell level of support.

Apple have obvious done something wrong and send out the same codes to many people. But why don't Apple aknowledge this? Why not a statement?

I can accept incompetens, but I at least whant to get an answer from Apple: "we are aware of the issue and working on it" or anything.

The last 10 years I have spent 10% of my income every year on Apple stuff. Apple have made me happy and I have rewarded them with that tax. The last year have had so many screwups that this year will probably be the last year with that tax.

So.. I give up, and install my "pirated" version from my USB stick. Thanks for nothing Apple. Since you have my AppleID and everything, its just call the police and inform them that I use pirated software. My defence will be "Apple is incompetent"

(and of course, I know that Apple is not incompetent. This is more an attitude against its customers that have been growing for the last 5-7 years that their customers are not IT people but "mom and pop" people who have no IT competence)

i can confirm that this morning when i woke up, i received an email from Apple with a working code at 10.12 GMT time.

Glad somebody has their codes now, It has been nearly 24 hours since I got my first faulty code, so I have no idea when/if i'm even getting a new code at all.

Bought this new Retina MacBook Pro model a few weeks ago and have been hanged out to upgrade to Mountain Lion. Woke up with two emails from Apple and enter the code and get this message "Mountain Lion Redemption code already used" .... WHAT IS GOING ON HERE ? Apple ? HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP HELP

MrHuynh there was a problem with the first redemption code and Apple is sending out a 2nd redemption code, which may take up to 72 hours to receive.

I haven't even received any codes, whether working or not, and it's been over 24 hours.

Finally received my second code after 30 hours. I was able to download Mountain Lion just fine. So releived. 😉

I have not received my first code either. But, they stated it would take up to 72 hours to receive the redemption code.

After 33 hours have I received my correct code. Mountain Lion is being downloded now!

I received one code on July 25 that was "used" and I received another one the morning of July 26 that is also "used". Now what?!?!?!

Calm down, calm down... everyone please... received the second code today (not even 72 hours - 24 hours only)... downloaded and installed is a breeze... thanks..... Flawsless Apple

Sure, problem solved... but definitely not "Flawless Apple". They could have at least publicly acknowledged the problem, instead of hiding behind their support. Whatever. Such is life when buying into a highly guarded and secretive electronic ecosystem.
