Mountain Lion Redemption code already used?

Well, finally got through to enter my info for Mountain Lion for my new 2012 MBAir. Within 3 minutes, got my emails for my redemption code. However, when I enter the redemption code - IT'S ALREADY USED! Someone has already cracked the codes, or guessed the redemption codes I presume.

I have to say Apple - what a joke. You already know the serial number on my system, which can be used to look up the purchase date - or determine it's a model that was ONLY available after the free upgrade date - and could have done that to allow me to get it without all this BS.

Thanks bunches - now how many weeks will it take to convince someone I really didn't download it? How in the heck does this get straightened out?

So, 5 days after release and here I am with 4 encrypted PDFs, 3 keys (which only work on 3 of the PDFs), 2 codes (they even sent me the same code twice). I still have no copy of ML,

I'm still waiting on a response from the uptodate email people and I'm getting more peeved that they seem to be letting this slide as if everything is perfect. I've been on the phone to apple twice (this is a new mac after all with the included phone support) and they've not been able to help.

And all for the sake of software with a purchase price of less than 1% of the purchase price of this mac. Very poor

I know the definition of ironic and the definition is correct if you include my sarcasm.

However, at the same time I don't think everyones lying about the problems they're having. I just don't really see the point in having 20 different topics all related to the same thing. However their frustration to me makes more sense now that it has been "4" days and not 4 hours since the release of Mountain Lion.

(Regarding The Timeframe) I'll give you that, we'll meet in the middle at 4 days lol.

At least you're still getting emails though, so you know you are still in the loop. If I were you, I would begin to worry when I stop receiving emails and still don't have Mountain Lion.

I'll take 4 days. Must have missed the sarcasm, maybe it fell down a sarchasm or something...

Anyway, should I be worried that I've had emails from apple on every day except today? And we wouldn't need 20 different topics to discuss this if apple actually acknowledged the problem and came up with some sort of sensible workaround. Why bother with all the cloak & dagger BS with the encrypted PDFs anyway? For those of us who bought the product online, why not just credit the registered app store account with a copy of ML?

Apple representatives don't respond to topics in their forum. At least I've never seen them respond to anything in here. I would assume the reason for the encrypted PDF emails is because with so many redeemable codes for Mountain lion people were and are packet sniffing to get those codes and they probably didn't want "those people" to steal a lot of peoples codes and leave everyone with codes that don't work. But, with what happened, that may have not gone as well as planned for some people. In my opinion.
