Macbook Pro - Mountain Lion. I don't use icloud.
I was having this problem.
I found that by enabling only one email acount to sync the issue corrected.
This is what my settings now look like.
On my iPhone:
A) Settings, Notes, Default Account, Gmail IMAP
B) Settings, Mail/Contacts/Calendars, Gmail IMAP, Notes = ON
(All other mail accounts - Notes = Off)
On my Mac:
A) Open Notes Aplication
B) Notes drop-down menue, Accounts, Mail/Contacts/Calendars,
Choose which Account (I chose Gmail IMAP),
Check the notes check box on the right side to enable.
C) Notes drop-down menue, Default Account, Choose which Account
(I chose Gmail IMAP)
Clearly I am not a tech person and I don't know which of these steps is redundant
but my notes are syncing. There are still some really old ones that never
made it onto my Mac... still working on this.
My question is this: If notes are still somehow involved with mail accounts,
why are they no longer viewed and accessed through the Mail
allpication on my Mac?
