Mountain Lion Up-to-Date Code: How Long?

Does anybody know how long it takes to receive the email with the redemption code for Mountain Lion after registering on the up-to-date page?

72 hrs. That is what Apple told me over the phone. If you want it sooner, go buy it.

asif_uk - same here. And I took today off of work to get everything worked through at my leisure.

I do have a mini that runs my boot camped Windows 7 media center, so I may purchase to install on my retina laptop and then just use the freebie code when it arrives and throw that on the mini... Since I'm not in a rush for the mini anyway, but would like to get the laptop squared away...

I called Apple tech and they told me that it could be 72 hrs or more. And that if I want it now, I could go and buy it in the App Store. He did check and found that I had been approved, but did not know why I had not gotten the email. He gave me the email address to write to for the people who are sending out the emails. It is: updatesupport@apple.com. I wrote and expressed my disappointment with this whole rollout.

Apple really screwed the pooch on this one.

I dropped over $3500 on a retina MBP with AppleCare and taxes... and after 38 hours, NO code. At least I didn't get a "dead" code or a code for Mountain Lion Server. But NOTHING. No email, no code, nothing. Called Apple's "Customer Service" and was told it could take up to 72 hours... are you freaking kidding me? I drop $3500 on a computer and have to wait THREE DAYS to get the free OS X upgrade code?

Forget the pooch. I got screwed.

This email you gave us doesn't work: "Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain."

The correct email address is

UpToDateSupport@apple.com

Not that it make much of a difference... no response from them, either...
