How long will it take for apple to respond to my request for free mountain lion?

I have emailed Apple and waited a few hours, am wondering whether I filled out the form wrong and wasted my chance? Wondering how long anyone else had to wait?

Thanks!

so,is it that's why up to 72hours.Hmmm,seems like I still have to wait for another day.

btw,I'm still puzzled how to apply for the free 1.I bought my Pro on July, before release date.I try to apply for a free one on this webside:

https://www.apple.com/osx/uptodate/

but after I filled the table and send it,I saw the terms and conditions below, saying that:

  • To receive your OS X Mountain Lion upgrade, you must complete the order form and provide an electronic copy of a dated, itemized sales receipt indicating the marketing part number(s) of the qualifying product(s) purchased. Order acknowledgments, packing slips, and purchase order copies are not valid.
  • Completed order form and dated, itemized sales receipt must be emailed by August 24, 2012.

Well, the problem is how to email my paper receipt?should I take a photo for it and mail it?but I don't know send it to where, not an e-mail address has been mentioned on that webside,I mean.

could you help me about this, please?many thx!~

I wish Apple would post something about how long to expect between applying for the free the Up-to-Date code (submitting the form) and when one will get an e-mail with a code. It has been 4 hours since I submitted the form and I have heard nothing, not even that they received the submission. Not as good an experience as I normally expect and have with Apple.

So the geniuses (sarcasm) at Apple sent me a 2nd redeem code for the App store, which was supposed to be for Mountain Lion. The 1st code incorrectly stated that it had already been used. I went to enter the code and it turns out the code was for OSX Server (not OS 10.8), which I can't download, because OSX Server requires Mountain Lion (10.8). Thanks a lot Apple 😟. Now I have to go through the whole process again of contacting support and telling them again how they f'd up. Just my luck I had my case reviewed by a monkey on his first day at work.

Ring them and just say that you're really disgusted with the service, surely they would have known that a lot of people would be wanting the free upgrade as they were advertising and they should have the staff there to be able to cope for the demand. If they haven't fully prepared themselves it's bad customer service, and working in customer services myself I'm usually quite tolerant of these types of things.
