How do you get a refund?

This is ridiculous. Only reason I got this update was to support my apple TV with mirroring. And now come to find out, burried on some sub-website, this feature is only for 2011 and later Macs. I would like my money back and this rubish removed from my computer!

The criteria for compatibility with AirPlay Mirroring is not processor-related. It requires that your Mac has a Thunderbolt port. The most likely explanation for this restriction is that it has something to do with DRM.

Note that AirPlay should continue to work from within iTunes, as it is has in the past, even for non-Thunderbolt Macs.

Genius, you should have done your research first before you downloaded ML because of airplay. Airplay only works on core i5/i7 Macs, it's all over the net. Stop whining and just enjoy what you purchased.

I based my purchase on that info. My 2010 MPB has a Core i7 and obviously does not support AirPlay.

This was NOT made clear in the system requirements. Bad Apple.

Ok, I made a mistake there by saying Airplay only works on core i5/i7 Macs. apparently it only works with these:

Exactly my point. Someone as savvy as yourself did not fully understand the requirements. How are us mere mortals supposed to know?

I'm kind of being sarcastic here. As a developer, I consider myself fairly savvy in these matters too and I did read the system requirements -- but still missed this and am disappointed.

All the info is out there, boys. Just because you didn't read it or made assumptions you shouldn't have made, isn't anyone's fault but your own. Look in the mirror if you want someone to blame.

The same BS has been going on for 2 years regarding Flash for iOS on the iPad. People buying new iPads complain endlessly about lack of Flash support, and that Apple didn't tell them. With a little research and careful reading, even a Luddite would know that iOS has never supported Flash.

clearly and fine print do not go together

If you can't admit Apple was underhanded in this matter, then you are blinding yourself/being a typical Apple fanboy "Apple cannot do wrong". Sure, somewhere they left the tidbits regarding what works and what doesn't in the new OS. The fact is they did this on purpose so majority of users wouldn't notice and they know a majority of users won't care. But some do and they are the ones voicing their anger in this thread.

How do you get a refund?
