Hi i have just upgraded to mountain lion and my dock is not working properly at all, its like it freezes when i hover it with the cursor.
Normally the icons will expand a bit when i do it now just the first icon does it (sometimes and sometimes not)
anyone else got this problem?
yes i have checked my settings
iMac, OS X Mountain Lion
Go to your Finder "Go" menu hold the option key and choose Library. Then go to Preferences folder and trash this files:
com.apple.finder.plist
com.apple.sidebarlists.plist EDIT: Sorry
com.apple.dock.plist
Then, restart, or log out and in again.
(You will have to reset your Dock the way you like them.)

I've noticed that if I click spotlight first so that the spotlight input pane is visible and then I mouse down to the dock the screen does not flicker and the dock does not disappear, but instead works correctly.
What happens if you log into your Guest account...is the problem present there?
In guest account the dock is fine
Log back into your problem account.
Go to System Preferences >> Users & Groups >> Login Items and remove them. Restart normally and test.
I have remove all startup items and restart. Still the same not working
Have you got Path Finder.app installed?

OK, let's try deleting all the prefs for Dock and one more pref file.
Go to your Finder "Go" menu choose "Go to Folder" and enter ~/Library/Preferences Then delete these files and restart or log out and back in.

com.apple.dock.db
com.apple.dock.extra.plist
com.apple.systemuiserver.plist
Again, restart or log out and back in.

i dont have
com.apple.dock.extra.plist
Restart
and stiil not working
The same happend also in Guest account
Apple what is the fix?
If it's systemwide, then it would require a re-install. You can do that by booting from your Recovery Volume (cmd-R) and choosing "re-install OS X". It will be an install "in place" so it shouldn't touch any of your files or settings.
I am having the same problem isolated to my personal admin account. i have dleted all preferences and it is still occuring.
I have reinstall twice ML
work for a minute and after taht stop working again
So im not gona reinstall again.
If Apple dont provide fix will revert back to Lion and will take my money back!!!
