Keeping Applications as Fullscreen by default.

Hi guys, I've asked this question before (on a Lion installation) and not recieved any response. Have also seen many, many people ask the same question on here and other forums with no solid answer yet. Upgraded to Mountain Lion today by the way, partly because I hoped it would fix this problem.

The problem is that I would like all my applications (that are capable of it) to run in fullscreen by default each time they are launched. Currently iTunes will always launch in fullscreen mode but most other applications will not, even if I have quit the program while in full screen. I especially would like Safari to open in fullscreen, and when I upgraded to Lion it did for a time but then stopped.

From what I can gather from other responses to this question online, it seems that OSX should remember your preferences (whether you have apps running in fullscreen or not) but there appear to be many people with my problem.

So far the only step I have taken is deleting Safaris preference file but this did not solve the issue. I am sure it is something very very simple but I cannot for the life of me figure it out.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

P.S I do not have resume enabled.
