Nope. Bought a brand new mac in October of 2012. Same problems.

Off topic so I apologize in advance but the Mac Pro is going away in my opinion. The machine hasn't changed or been updated for 3 years. No thunderbolt.

No.. What I am saying is that two people with identical Macs can either have this issue or not. It is not directly related to the hardware.

Example,

I have Mac which is identical to the one, one of my clients owns. He had the lag issue and i didn't. So, as a test... I cloned my hard drive and put that cloned image onto his hard drive and the lag issue vanished for him.

Thus proving, as best one can, it is not directly related to specific hardware.

No.. It's an issue Apple need to issue a fix for..

I suspect it is to do with something not being correctly installed or updated, OS X / software wise... but that's as far as anyone can really say at this time... and anyone telling you anything different is just making wild guesses!

Are MBP and iMac and Mac mini have better survival rate then macpro in terms of lagging prevention?

I'll say for the third and final time, I installed Garageband (even though it was already on my computer and I don't use it) and it solved the lag issue.

AofS, I have 3 computers, two of which are 2008/2009 MBPs, but my Mac Pro (a mid 2012 model), which has had the lag issue from day one, had everything installed with the upmost care. I have only installed a very small handfull of 3rd party effects, and went through intensive testing with tech staff to prove that it was none of these. Just curious what are you basing your guess on?

I beg your last pardon. You mean GarageBand'11 bought from apps store will cure the lag?

And I also have garageband installed, and it doesn't help one bit. So thanks for promising to stop repeating that useless piece of "advice."

What apple4andy is refering to.. is that a few people have found that installing or reinstalling GB 11 after the installation of Logic Pro.. has reduced or completely stopped the lag issue for them... It's only a small number of people that this seems to work for I might add, but it is something that has been confirmed by multiple users as one possible fix.

It didn't work for the one remaining client I have, I might also add, that still has this issue.

Can't wait. Must try today. Anymore possible cure? Or semi-cure?

Any check list? Someone say command tab, other say left click logic icon.
