Mouse cursor disappears.

Can't confirm.

Try to navigate to the Find menu and click on a menu item, the cursor should reappear. I have found this happens because of third party software. It's not Apple fault as per say.

(This happens all the time in Photoshop. Fix is to lower the memory allocation for Photoshop.)

This is the first time I read this - could you please share your settings to fix this?

(I have 69% of 48GB RAM allocated for Photoshop, so still around 16GB left for other tasks)

Or are you talking about graphics RAM?

Currently, when cursor disappears in Photoshop, I hoover above the dock just to show up - that will bring back the cursor...

first of all, is impossible and not productive when painting to do this "stuck" over the dock losing time and creativity.

Second, I'm sorry for all of these users that can't find a solution, as I said in page 11, I solved my cursor problem upgrading JAVA SE.

After Java updating I have no more cursor dissapearing problem.

Stop to all that stupid advices about battery charge of mouse or keyboard.

Possible that we are so stupid to not change the battery?Clear IT WAS NOT A BATTERY PROBLEM or A WIRELESS CONNECTION.

It's a kind of software problem, I can't say if is an Adobe,Apple, Wacom , Oracle Problem... and none of us can.

This is when running Photoshop...

Also, if you have size (zoom cursor in the System Prefs... Accessibility Pref... reduce it a little or turn it off.

I don't have JAVA installed and don't need it. And this still happens when running some programs. So JAVA in my case isn't the problem. OSX doesn't depend on JAVA to run.

My fix that I posted may work for some and not others.

We are not stupid people... ignorant... yes... but not stupid. And there are no stupid answers to questions. Any advice that people posted here pertaining to this problem is welcome.

Really!!! If your offended by those advises I'm sorry. It take me a minute to realize that when the track pad doesn't respond the batteries are dead. Like I said, "All advices are welcome to fix this problem."

I follow this discussion by months and there are only few post really usefull with some serious solution to try.

But many user continue to explain a "connection/batter/ I/O" problem that it's not so.

I hope that some professional blogs talk about this discussion and finding a solution but it's hard.

there isn't a line guide, I solved with Java, You solved with ram configuration and cursors size, some in different way...

It's like an horror movie this problem!

I'm of the opinion that this is almost certainly caused by a third party application. I'm also fairly certain that it's caused by something created/owned by Adobe. For me the problem typically only occurs while using Safari to stream video from a website with an embedded Flash Player. For some, upgrading the Java SE fixed the problem. For others still the problem is most often seen while using Adobe xxx.

The common thread throughout seems to be Adobe. I may be completely wrong, but that's where my suspicions lie. Has anyone visited an Adobe forum to see if this problem is being talked about there?

Apprerently they haven't heard of the issue and had him Google the problem. Luckily my cursor disappeared as I was speaking with him. Had me zap Pram (reboot holding Command-Option PR) and then rebooted in safe mode (holding shift) played around for a while but couldn't get the cursor to disappear. I have treid reducing the cursor size (I had made mine larger for screen capture puropses) - and so far that is working
