Mountain Lion Parental Control time limits are not "turning off" the computer when my kids time is up

I am seeing exactly the same behavior.

The same thing happened to me. All of the settings look correct, but it's giving my kids unlimited access. If they use up the set allotment then log out, it won't let them log in until 10 a.m. the next day (as per the settings).

I'd love a solution to this problem.

My children notified me of this glitch ~ they're too honest! Mountain Lion still keeps track of their time. If they've gone over their time limit and they log out, Mountain Lion will not let them log back on. And if, for example, I give them a 15 min extension to log back in but they've gone over by half an hour, they'll get logged out immediately and I have to give them another extension or a longer one.

I spent 2 or 3 hours on the phone with Apple Care trying to resolve this issue last night; still don't have a resolution. Even deleted one kids account and re-created it after a shut down...it read the remaining time from right where it left off as if I had never deleted it. Craziest thing I've seen in a long time. Another weird thing is, I have four kids with accounts/time limits; 2 of the kids have the time limit problem; 2 don't. I have no idea why, and apparently Apple doesn't either. Apple Care told me to wait a few days to see how many other people end up with the same problem and then call back in. I am glad I'm not the only one!

*sigh* I thought my daughter was spending a lot of time on this afternoon. And there I was waiting for her time to run out so I could use my computer. I was starting to think she'd figured out my password to increase her time!

I'm having a similar problem since installing mountain lion. It's set for 1 hour a day but is giving my son 10 hours. logging out doesn't reset it nor does disabeling and re-enabling time limits the fix the problem. Hope Apple gets a fix quick!

It's doing the same for us here: installed Mountain Lion, and the time limits on my kid's accounts stopped functioning (back to the Egg Timer!). Other aspects of Parental Controls are working however.

Same for me, two accounts with time limits and they get unlimited time until logout. Have repaired pemissions etc and still the same.

Same issue here on both my kids' accounts.

I have exactly the same problem. Please sort it out as this is a must for us.

Just want to add it is not working for me either, hoping for a solution. I would not have upgraded if I had know about this.
