Mountain Lion Parental Control time limits are not "turning off" the computer when my kids time is up

I use the Parental Controls to limit how much time my kids spend on the computer. Since I installed Mountain Lion their account is not "turning off" when the time limit is reached. They are being allowed to stay on, it appears to be indefinitely. When the log out and try to log back in it indicates that because of Parental Controls they cannot until the next day. This worked perfectly with Lion. Am I missing a setting or something?

Apparently it's getting confused between the "bedtime" and the time limits. Using one but not both solves the problem for me. So if you mainly want the kids off the computer at a certain time of day or night, leave the "bedtime" checkboxes checked but uncheck the weekday & weekend time limits. Or if you prefer to limit their use by time allowance, turn the bedtime checkboxes off and leave the time limit checkboxes on. Obviously this isn't a great solution for those who relied on a combination of both.

Thank You!! This appears to have solved the problem for me (or at least provided an acceptable workaround). I simply unchecked the "School nights" and "Weekend" boxes under "Bedtime," and the time allowances started working again. For me this is good, because the time allowances are the more critical of the two.

This really is quite pathetic. Why would that have changed? If you make a change to software in some area then you need to test that change. I am finding Mountain Lion to be a problem. Why would they have taken out RSS support in Mail? Why doesn't the photos screensaver look in subfolders any more? Then to have the parental controls not work the way they are supposed to is just one more thing making this update seem a little, just a little, like Vista.
