synchronizing Notes to iphone (without using iCloud of course)

Hello.

I can't find a way to synchronize Notes to my iPhone directly (using internet based services like iCloud for personal data out of the question of course). How?

Still nobody has come up with a great solution to this problem. Bummer. I also liked the convenience of syncing Notes directly from my iPad to computer via USB or local wifi. None of this fancy schmancy iCloud BS. Why couldn't Apple just have added iCloud and left local syncing alone. Bad move Apple!
