MagSafe LED not lighting?

I have a very similar problem except all my pins are fine. It just won't charge. It used to charge until I unplug it then it won't charge for a while. I have to leave it unplugged for a while then I can plug it in and then charge it again. But finally it just doesn't work anymore. Any thoughts?

There is a hysteresis mechanism in the charging circuitry. If you remove external power and then reapply before the battery charge drops below 95%, it will not charge back up, but rather just hold at the current level. You have to drop below 95% charge while running on batteries before it will rise again when connected to external power.

so, im typing this response on what seems like it will be the last charge for a while (until i can get to the apple store) because one of my outside pins will not come out!! i can't believe this is happening to this many people! oh the joys of being an early adopter..( i want my 17 inch powerbook back )

well, i find it hard to believe that there would be ANY instances of problems with a power connector.. yes, the 'magsafe' is cool and all but come on, you would think they could design a connector with pins that don't break in 2 weeks.

I don't get either Amber or Green charge indications
when the adapter is plugged in - the LEDs remain
stubbornly off. Despite this, the battery does charge.

Same here, and my pins are fine.

I have the same problem - started today - the only difference is that mine isn´t even charging.

If it's really only two weeks old, return it for credit.
Then buy another one.

Apple gave me a new adapter, and I bought a spare. They're expensive, but having a spare is worth it.
