Safari 6 does not fill username and password fields

I am seeing the same issue on two machines. All settings appear to be right, and the passwords are in the "Passwords" preference pane in Safari. Any response from Apple on this?

I am also having this issue on 2 different iMacs. Apple Support please let me know what info I can provide that will be helpful. OS 10.7.4 and Safari 6 on both machines.

Lion is now "broken" and so is ML

I rolled back to Snow L because when i reformatted to lion it added safari 6 automatically

Could you briefly teach me how to do that reformatting and rolling back?

It's kind of a relief to see that many others have this issue, and that it's not just my machine, but it's a little exasperating that NOBODY from Apple has chimed in here yet to help us...

Also experiencing this problem with Safari. Not all websites, just a few that used to work before my upgrade. Only change was to ML and Safari 6.

I have run disk first aid to verify and repair permissions (no safari or keychain errors, just printer related errors), run keychain's verification (no errors), deleted safari and keychain's plist from /Library/Preferences and restarted.

The login and password are in my Keychain, but are also in Safari's Preferences / Passwords tab. Tried removing them and making new ones (in both)... no such change. *edit* just realized that deleting them from Safari deletes from keychain... and vice versa.

Same problem here... very annoying. Ironically logging in to this site is the only one that has asked me to save my login info but only because I had to create a new Apple id a while back and this could just be the 1st time I've logged in here.

So it's not just me then. Not happy about this and hope there is a fix for this soon.

So who do we wait for to fix this as this is really bad for me. Can I roll back to OS 10.7.4 from 10.8?

Actually, I don't think this is a safari issue. I have he same problem with the same websites in chrome and firefox. Which leads me to think the problem is solely in keychain. Not a big enough deal to get me to roll back since it is only three websites. Just annoying at my level. But for others effecting lots of sites it would be worth considering the roll back

ok so how does on fix this as it was working till people upgraded it seems. It worked for me till I upgraded from 10.7.4 to 10.8

It seems to be something with the security of sites as, I tried a fresh install of 10.8 and some sites that used show the username and password don't work anymore but some do like apple & facebook popup and ask if I want to save the username and password. What was strange sites that don't work don't have the remember me option and one of them saves the username but not the password which should have been this way in the first place as, this is a financial place and the password shouldn't be allowed to be populated.

So from what I can tell is that 10.8 has some updated security in the browser portion as, I was on the phone with apple level 2 support for over 2 hrs and we tried everything to get the other sites that used to work to work again.

The only option is to do a roll back of 10.7.4 and not via time machine as this doesn't work as you are just bring time machine 10.7.4 to 10.8.

I have the same issue with passwords stored pre-ML, but amusingly Safari remembered my password to sign-in on this support web-site!

Come on Cr-Apple, when are you going to understand structured testing & regression testing. ML is good but not that good!

A really *GOOD* solution is to switch to Firefox - it works!
