Can't enable Notes and Mail in the System Settings

Hello!

I upgraded to Mountain Lion yesterday and wanted to sync my iCloud mail and notes. The problem is, that i can't activate the checkmark in the system menu for notes and mail. Activating on the iPhone worked perfectly. Everytime i want to check the boxes for notes and mail it occurs an error: The application "Notes" cannot be activated at the moment - Please wait and try again activating "notes" same error for Mail.. I already created an @icloud.com-Account and verified it. Mailing over the iCloud.com-Account also works! I just can't activate Notes and Mail in the system menu.. (Sorry for bad english 😉)

These are the settings for an @icloud.com address. I thought that these have been only rolled out to developers with ios6 beta.

Please make sure that you have setup your email address correctly under accounts to x.y@me.com and that you are also only viewing the access privileges for this account.

I'm running iOS6 GM on my iPhone 4S

I'm logged into iCloud on my Mac wth the same Apple-ID which is activated in my iPhone

Then my bet would be to wait for 10.8.2. Also ask in the iOS developer forums, I have not extended my developer account, therefore I can't dig into that.

If you also have a @me.com address give that one a try. It will work.

Hello! I just upgraded to MacOS X 10.8.2 and... well - IT WORKS!!! Thank you for your help! Mail is also working!

MacOS 10.8.2. I turned iCloud sync off and then was not be able to enable Mail/Notes sync.

So, the Mail iCloud sync I fixed by creating iCloud accoun in the mail application (as described in that post). But Notes was offline any way.

My fix for Notes is the following - use another Mountin Lion mac to create yourself as user there, go to iCloud preferences and enable all apps sync. Then go to yours mac iCloud preferences and enable Notes sync. In my case it works.

Signing out an back in seems to correct my problem notes problem, however i seem to have a problem with mail... ***>
