Safari 6.0 empty cache

Does anybody know how to empty the cache in Safari 6.0, within the new OS. Used to be empty cache was a click under the Safari pull down menu. Now the 'empty cache' is gone. They have the 'reset Safari' click, but that is not what I want to do. Just empty the cache, if that is still possible. I can't think of a good reason why Apple will take this option away. Thanks.

Enable the Develop menu in Safari Preferences > Advanced. The Empty Cache option will be there.

Yes, that's the correct path to the file. See screenshot below.

(note that "Clone" is my boot drive - in your case this would likely be "Macintosh HD")

I'm assuming you're currently using Safari on the machine where you're looking for the cache file, which implies that the browser should have created a cache.db file when you opened it if one did not already exist.

Actually I just thought of something. Do you have the Develop menu visible in Safari? If so, check to see if you've disabled caches.

Yes, the Develop menus is visible. I did not disable caches. But, each time when i am done with Safari and before quiting it for the day, I do click on Empty Cache in the Develop menu. Is that why I don't have it do you think?

Also, the Webpage Previews folder has jpg thumb nail images of the pages I visited. So is that another folder which stores web sites visited? One's surfings can be followed through that also. Did you know about that one?
