Graphic problems, mostly in Mail and Safari

This workaround seems to have solved my issue for the time being. However, Apple needs to address this issue. Thank you!

I am still having this problem. I tried fresh install twice and updated to 10.8.2!

Different from others, I also get these wierd problems:

Application Grouped

Safari, App Store, Messages, and iTunes are open

Safari and Chrome problems

Start up

I have no Apple Store in my country, therefore stuck with the help of a fix or update only. Thank you.

Obviously Game Center and Facebook integration are far more important than having proper graphic drivers 😠

I have these same problems on my mini. I had them in lion and now in mountain lion.

I have a mac mini (2011)

2.3 GHz Intel Core i5

8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB

witch an older 20" ADC cinema display. In lion it fixed them completely when I set the screen resolution down one on the list. This does not fix it in Mountain lion though.

I opened a ticket with them last year and they never acnowledged that there was a problem even though they felt it warranted actually keeping it open as a viable problem.

It's pretty Annoying.

I was having the same issue on my early 2011 i7 MacbookPro. Today I tried resetting the PRAM and NVRAM (http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379) by pressing and holding the Command + Option (alt) + P + R keys right after turning on the mac and the graphical glitches have been gone so far. I hope this helps.

Update : After some time the glitches started occuring again. So the method above doesn't seem to be working, sorry.

How are we nearly 2 months on from the release of Mountain Lion and still no closer to having proper graphics drivers 😟

Safari still consistently messes up as does mail and finder 😟

THIS IS THE EXACT SAME THING I'M EXPERIENCING!!!

Neither 10.6 nor 10.7 exhibited this behavior, and only after upgrading to 10.8 I began experiencing these glitches. Especially in Safari, most frequently on mouseovers and HTML5 animated web sites.

I recently wiped out my hard drive and clean-installed 10.8 thinking the problem had come from in-place upgrading since 10.5 and restoring apps and settings from Time Machine into a new MacBook Pro...

I have an Early 2011 15" MBP / 2.2 GHz i7 / Intel HD 3000 512 MB + AMD 6750 1 GB / 16 GB 1600 MHz RAM.

My graphic problems went away on my late 2011 2.4 GHZ i7 Macbook Pro after turning off Automatic Graphics Switching in the Energy Saver Preferences panel. This is only a temporary workaround, as battery life is shortened, but nonetheless, I haven't seen the problem reoccur since turning it off over a month ago. Give it a try and let us know if it works for you.

You mean the Intel drivers could be the problem?

That's my guess. Whatever it is, unchecking Automatic Graphics Switching resolved the issue.

Guys I can confirm that is Intel Drivers problem, turning of the Automatic Graphics Switching resolved the issue for me too! Apple do something, I love you and now you are destroying my good feelings for you...

Having glitching problems as well:

Strangely, all the glitches I was seeing have now resolved themselves but I don't know how or why! 😕

I realise this doesn't help and it's very odd. The only thing I can suggest (which has already been suggested) is to do several PRAM resets. Turn on Mac while holding down Command, Option, P and R until you hear the "bong" sound several times.
