Random sleep mode after Mountain Lion install

Hello, I have a MacBook air 11" late 2011.

after installing Mountain Lion I get random sleep modes, usually right after a waking up the computer.

that has never happened before so I assume that it is a sotware issue.

I do not have a hot corner for sleep (have checked)

anybody else has the same problem

Just adding my name to the list here. I picked up a new MBA 11 inch 3 days ago and it unexpectedly sleeps intermittently: sometimes a few seconds after waking, sometimes a few minutes. Occurs frequently and is very irritating having to reneter my pw again. None of my MBPs are affected. I was hoping to find a solution here, but it seems like we are all waiting.

I have recently purchased a 2013 MBA 11" i5 4GB. I have this same issue. Sometimes suddenly goes to sleep after a few seconds, sometimes a few minutes. Frustrating, inconvenient and very embarrassing in front of clients.

This is on top of the widely reported wifi problems which I also experienced at home, where I had to change router encryption settings just to get an internet connection.

My first MBA (2011) had to be replaced twice due to completely dying after a few days (they suddenly wouldn't turn on). Then the final replacement had to have the wifi/bluetooth module replaced because it was dropping bluetooth connections. So much time in Genius Bars, and too much downtime.

My latest iPhone4 (bought after the last one was stolen) started overheating after 5 months. After a long drawn-out affair this was eventually replaced and within 2 months the replacement's silent mode switch is now malfunctioning.

Now I'm based in China, you honestly cannot get an appointment because the Genius bars are fully booked 24/7. Probably because their products are increasingly garbage. I'd have had this latest MBA returned ages ago but it was purchased in HK.

I am experiencing the same issue on my new 2013 MBA 13" 1.7 GHz Core i7 w/ 8 GB RAM, 256GB SSD (approximately 2 weeks old). The computer will randomly go to sleep while I'm in the middle of a variety of tasks: surfing the web, typing an email, browsing Finder for a file, etc. Sometimes it'll happen right after the computer wakes from sleep, sometimes it'll be after I've been working on it for a couple hours. This is a major issue that occurs frequently on a new machine. Please fix ASAP.
