Serious Mouse Problems with Mountain Lion

Has anyone experienced serious mouse anomolies in some applications using OS X Mountain Lion? Problems selecting (left clicking), zooming, etc. Applications include (but not limited to) Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CS6, Microsoft Excel in Office 2011, Ashlar Cobalt V8. Computer - 2008 Mac Pro 3,1 Dual Quad Core Xeon Problem is not mouse specific. Tried Magic Mouse, Mighty Mouse and Microsoft Mouse.

Using same applications (in Mountain Lion) on Mac Book Pro 13" late 2008 with no problems at all.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

I just confirmed an earlier post. I just purchased the Dell 2913WM 29" monitor to use with a 2012 Mac Mini. I have a Microsoft Wireless Mouse/Keyboard combo 5000 and the mouse was unusable, skipping and dancing all over the screen. Thanks to an earlier post, I switched the USB dongle from the Dell ports to a native port on the Mac Mini and all is perfect. The Dell USB ports were causing havoc.

Have you found a good solution after all? I found out that whacking the mouse seems to work for a while. Another thing to try is to install fresh batteries. I am at the end of my wits on this one...

you might want to open your system prefs ans slow down the double-click speed... it can cause that menu problem.
