Has Mountain Lion ruined ical/reminders integration? I can't figure it out

If I ever created a reminder, it was visible in iCal. Now, if I set a reminder on a certain day, it is NOT visible in ical. I think it's dumb having to use 2 aps to organize my week, not being able to just see everything under the same window. Is there a way to have reminders visible in ical if they're set to a specific time of a specific day?

Totally agree. Was great when I put a reminder on my iPhone it was sitting next in the window in ical and you could drag it over to a date if you wanted it. If anywhere I would expect reminders in the hyped notification centre. I even swiped in the window to see if the popped up. Hey that would have been smart ;-) 2 Apps ical and reminders doesn't sound like integration to me.

I have gone mad trying to see what was wrong with my reminders in iCal. Personally I love the Reminders APP, I use my iPhone a lot, BUT I also plan my week every friday, and today I started to notice, first friday after my mountain lion upgrade, that I could not see reminders on iCal.

Now that is a mayor SETBACK, before I had one screen to identify what my week schedule was going to be like, NOW I have to feed two apps and also check both of them.

hmmm. Don`t think that was a good idea.

Hope Apple adds a feature that allows an optional integration.

What I find even worse is,

1. that entries in different calenders in "Reminders" can no longer be sorted according to date, i.e. having a mixed List of entries in different calenders, sorted by date: Annoying to check one calender after another ....

2. when assigning an entry to a date, a "Reminder (sound, email or whatever nuissance" is automatically set: Why not - as before: a) assigning a date and b) HAVING the option to set (or NOT to set) an Alarm.

If I missed a chance of "fixing" the above: I am more than happy for help.

By the way: Disintegrating a smart combo without the option to join was stupid.

After following a similar thread (http://forum.macsofa.net/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=63719):

Just bought Fantastical from http://flexibits.com

- shows "all" at a time

- sorts acc. to date (mixed entries)

- super-easy typing

- transfers all to calender / reminders: even the "due-dates", that are no longer available in reminders

Why cursing Apple: Jobbuilder Apple: the flexibits-people earned 8 € - seems to be reduced at present - instead of 40€😮 for busycal.

I don't see why, after creating a Reminder app on iCloud, Apple saw it a benefit to separate Reminders from iCal. I agree with the others here. I want to see my tasks for the day (Reminders) with the calendar so I can have a better picture of what I face that day. Switching back and forth is dumb. Please put back the possibility for those that want the flexibility.
