Blue tinted screen after mountain lion

BTW, the problem returned after I did an SMC reset for an unrelated issue, but was again cured by PRAM reset.
PRAM reset is temporary: back to blue tinting again, after I'd removed gfxcardstatus thinking PRAM reset was a good fix. This was my second time to see the outbreak of blue after the first PRAM reset: the first time I thought perhaps the SMC reset overrode the PRAM reset, but I have not done any similar resets since yesterday when everything was fine (re tinting at least), and we're back to blue. Extremely aggravating, this blueing.
But the blue tint does appear only when the discrete graphics card kicks in, right?
Just wanted to clarify the symptoms...

Since I reinstalled gfxcardstatus, I can't reproduce the problem to be absolutely sure, but I believe that is the case--switching from integrated to discrete brought on the blueing.
I'm having the same issues. Blue screen when using Virtual Box. Going to try resetting PRAM. This is just one of the many problems I've had with Mountain Lion. Mountain Lion is such a turd at the moment.
same problem here (macbook pro 17 early 2011 with apple ssd). after activating filevault and time machine the problem appeared here, maybe its just a fluke. reinstalling mountain lion does not solve the problem. workaround: log off and login... but it helps only until your next reboot. Hope Apple will fix this with 10.8.3. Obviously it's not a hardware problem / defect.
I've given up entirely--PRAM reset does not fix it permanently, and neither does gfxcardstatus. Very much bummed and looking forward to a fix in 10.8.3.
I've given up too. After reinstalling ML the 3rd time within 2 days, it is absolutely frustrating... Was fixed in 10.8.1, came back in 10.8.2. so lets hope it will be fixed in 10.8.3. again.

This is the second problem i have with 10.8.2 update, first my aplications crashed constantley now this issue with the blue screen. Apple please shake up, i would rather have correct color balance than new itunes!
I just hope, somebody who is working with Apple is reading this thread 🙂
Yes please !
Is your login screen also slightly pixelated ?
I ran an AHT and my graphic card seems alright.
I'am using filevault so there is no real login screen, just after booting up, I have to enter my password. I think it is no hardware problem, otherwise there would be a lot of other errors.
I spoke with Apple support yesterday about this matter and a few other problems I've been having. They said it was a known problem, so hopefully it will be remedied soon.
ok at least they know that there exists a problem. looking forward to 10.8.3.
