I had this problem yesterday but it seems to have resolved on its own today. I believe it has something to do with the server load that Apple Inc. is facing after the keynote address. So, I suppose you could give it some time. In any case, if you really cannot wait for the servers or Apple Inc. to resolve the problem, you could turn to manual updates that Apple Inc. has consistently posted on its site.
suggestion from this thread worked for me:

Hi, After the iTunes was moved from external harddisk to the Mac Harddisk, error 1100 did not occur.
Thanks Armanilawsuit and uMofobi! That worked for me with the Renew DHCP Lease.
Ivanfromsingapore, Did you put your iTunes app or are you talking about the iTunes library on an external drive? I already have my iTunes library on an external drive (dropbox).
Itunes Library was moved from external drive to the internal drive of iMac and the error 1100 did not occur again.
I've never moved itunes Library anywhere . Its always been on the same Drive as the system.
Reapairing Disk Permissions fixed it for me as well.
This problem has only just started for me. I got the error code (NSURLErrorDomain error -3001.)(102), when trying to respond to the App Store notification to update my Safari and iPhoto.
Someone at Apple needs to:
a) let loyal customers know about the problem and what is being doen to rectify it
b) fix it, as quickly as possible!!
Same problem here, none of fixes above worked so i just installed it manually and hope with the next update everything will be ok again, pfff.
This didn't solve my problem with the Mac Store update, but it did solve my problem with Dictation no working. It works now! Thanks.
