Memory Stick Problem

I have a Toshiba 16 GB memory stick and had copied items on there successfully. Now it shows me that international no sign in white when I try to drag an itme into it. The items all open correctly and there is almost 5 GB left on it. The trash has been emptied as well. I have a second one that works correctly. What is going on and how can I fix it?
