kontakt samples in logic

I'm wondering if there's any way to use Kontakt samples in Logic without having the program. I have a friend who has Kontakt and was hoping to create samples on his computer and then transfer those samples to mine and use them in Logic. Is this possible? If so, how?

1) the EXS does not have the scripting
2) NI would never let other convert .NKS format to EXS

I think their original full version was around $150 USD. Sounds cool, let me kow how it works. Their demos AFAIR don't let you process, just pre/view.

Of course!... I'm also anxious to see how they handle the key-crossfading settings from Kontakt, since this is impossible in an EXS instrument.
