Photo Booth audio and video out of sync

VoilaMagic, I would like to do what you mentioned where you detached the audio and moved each audio piece to match-up with your lips. I am nearly to the point of pulling my hair out because I can't figure out how to do it. It was easy to see how to "detach audio," but once it's detached, I feel like there is nothing I can actually "do" to it, and it's infuriating! No matter what type of "click" I use, area I click on, clicking and dragging I do, menus that come up, etc. it seems like I can't manipulate the audio at all! How do you move the audio!?!?

You use the slice tool, slice the audio and move it left/right or delete. 🙂

If you're talking about moving the detached audio track, just select it (single click to highlight), hold down the "command" key, and with the cursor showing as a hand, slide it left or right. If you need more room, you can add a blank panel fore and aft, which will allow you to side it without constriction. Let me know how that works out for you.

Tried the various fixed it on both my iMac and MacBook Air (both running on Mountain Lion) but it's still out of sync. Very very annoying.

It sems to me that Apple doesn't even try to fix some of their 'free' applications - same things with Face Time, which for me still doesnt' work properly in the desktop version - after a few minutes the sound is muted.

Sort it out, Apple...

Well, it still seems to be an issue a few years later. I have the latest OS (El Capitain 10.11.5) and I get sync issues with Photobooth if I record more than one video. I have to restart my Mac after I record a video, otherwise the next video will be out of sync.

You might want to consider starting a new discussion. Since this one is a couple of years old, less people are likely to look at it. You can link to this one. Post in the El Capitan community.
