cant use facebook videocall on mountain lion

Hello everyone ,

i got a macbook pro 13 inch core i5 late 2011 , it came with osx lion and i been using facebook videocalls normaly , now i updated to Mountain lion

but when i use facebook video calls in (safari ,chrome ) i see the window box but i only see my self i can hear my friends but cant see em, they also can see me and hear me but i just see me and hear them .

any ideas ?

Oh! Seeing in another thread in the "More Like This" box here that some users have the same video calling problem with Yahoo. Any of us have that too?

Througth phone or maybe in a Apple store .

Mine is a mbp 13" late 2011 bougth in the us but now i live

In Perú and here we dont have Apple stores or Customer service

Temporary Solution

1. Download & Install Skype from official site.

2. Login into Skype.

3. Connect Facebook into Skype.

4. Now you can videocalling.

5.Enjoy

Note: You have to be logged into skype, for send & receive videocalling.

Try it.

This only works if the OTHER person is logged into Skype...

After months Apple has not fixed the problem, dissappointing. I still have this problem since I upgraded to Montai Lion

I just found this and I haven't try it yet

to get the Develop option on the menu bar, go to Safari / Preferences / Advanced

and select "Show Develop menu in menu bar"

I have 13" Macbook Pro OSX Lion, 10.7.5, late 2011 version. FB video was working before any upgrade I did with OSX.

Thankfully I'm not the only one experiencing this. The same thing happened to me when I upgraded to OS X 10.8.2 and I'm so fed up with being the only one of my friends who can't use fb video calling. Plus, connecting fb to the actual Skype app is a nightmare.

Is there seriously no fix for this? This thread is MONTHS old! What do we all have in common?
