Been using iCloud and mobile me for a long time. I sync my iPad and iPhone and a few macs. Contacts, iCal, bookmarks all sync fine and automatically. Notes never sync. Yes, the 'sync notes' slider is on in my devices. I just setup a new iPad and everything but notes synced instantly but no notes. What's with notes?

In order for the sync, only notes created in the icloud account will sync. The All Notes account will not work. The On My Mac account will not work. Only the icloud one will. I hate the 1st two just like you. Check to see what your icloud account is called. Go to settings>icloud>account. The last entry is what to look for, "Description". It will either have been set to your apple id or "iCloud", depending upon whether it is your ipad or iphone. I set both of mine to my apple id for consistency purposes. If you find a note was created in the wrong account, open it up, double tap any text, and choose "select all" then "copy". Then tap "account", choose the icloud one, press + for a new note, tat tap paste. The new note will sync. Lengthy but works.
Now that I move all my notes to icloud from On My Mac, it vanished, as did All Notes! The "Accounts " button is no longer there on ipad or iphone. I'll go check out all my laptops & pros now and let you know.
Putting my notes on my ICloud account helped me. Now my Iphone and Ipad sync even when adding a new note on the phone... Still having issues with my Ipod though
