Since my update to Mountain Lion, I get a icon poping up in the dock for a few seconds the first time I wake the computer up each day.
It has the lable XRD software update, now I never saw this on my previous OS Snow Leopard and have no idea what it is.
Is this part of ML, and if not how do I find out what it is and if I have anything to worry about.

This is ridiculous! The software for the forlast calibrator on Lion was also corrupt!
Can't they do anything good with xrite?
I removed the automatic update see if that works.

Maybe it's CS6?
I did find an xrdb executable that was part of a MacPorts port of rsync, but I believe that is a leftover from stuff I installed long ago. Also, it isn't likely that it has an updater.
The solution for me was to not let the program start up with login and not have the program check for updates.
No more XRD trouble.

I began having this same problem with the XRD pop up after i upgraded to El Capitan. This update fixed my problem. No more pop up
