I try to open word & it gives a message. Does this for every program in the office suite. I can't even check for an update cause it won't let me. It shuts down before I can check

Oh for f****'s sake! You know what I meant. I removed all the files from the preferences. I followed the steps from the instructions to properly remove from the Microsoft website. It still doesn't work. I can't call Microsoft cause they'll charge me for all help after the words hello. Guess it's back to PirateBay I go...
Just so you know, I'm running Office 2011 for Mac under ML with no issues whatsover and I'm not the only one I know who is doing so. The problem is something on your computer. You should work on that some more and leave out the lame political jokes and telling Apple on their corporate site that you steal software.
Reboot into safe mode and test again.

It must be the version I downloaded. I'll get a different one off a torrent site. It should work after that.

Csound1, after you're done rebooting into safe mode, go buy a mac!
You must be very new to Macs, they have a safe mode, and it is very useful for situatons like this, but as you are rude i will let you figure it out yourself.

I had this issue too, what you need to do is download 14.1.0 from microsoft first and install that, then download 14.2.3 and install that then it should be ok.
I know its frustating when things dont work but no need to get funny with people who are trying to help you

Oh, sure, yeah, a version illegally obtained from a hacker ought to work. We should always blindly trust anonymous hackers! I'm sure the installer won't be loaded with malware or something, that's never happened before...
