When I try to send a photo to someone through text message it always fails to send. But when I send it to someone who has iMessage it works. Can someone help me figure out why it won't send through normal text?

When I try to send a photo to someone through text message it always fails to send.
Photos are not text. iMessage handles photos.
They do get ordinary texts, when there are no pix, right?
Just taking a stab in the dark here, but try deleting all messages from the contacts you are having the problem with.
Yes they do get regular messages. And I tried deleting the threads too :(
I recently upgraded to iOS6 for my ipod from iOS 5.1.1 and i'm having the same issue. I can send regular messages through Imessage but as soon as i try to send a picture it will not send. This is me trying to send a picture from one ipod to another and bother being connected to wifi. I've had this issue since i upgraded after iOS6 first came put to the public. All of my other internet related apps work perfectly and i've tried sending pictures to more than just one contact. Someone please know how to solve this x.x your time is much appreciated!
Ive also tried all of the remedies mentioned in this and many other fourms (resetting settings/wifi/make sure imsg is on,etc)
We are having the same issue. People on other phones can send us photos, but ours won't send. All the correct settings are in place to enable photo messages, and we can send them to each other. Yet even when we turn off wifi and try to use cellular, no success. We're on AT&T too.
Has anyone gotten theirs to work? I shut off my cellular usage when I'm at school that way I don't run up my bill. But, it won't let me send pictures when my cellular is off. :( I tried resetting my my network settings, and all it did was make me have to re enter all my wifi passwords. Someone help.
I have had the same problem for a while but think I found a SOLUTION:
iMessage: off, cellular data: on, MMS messaging: on, wifi: off (so that you are using data). This is the only way I can send images to anyone.

No luck sending photos through text using Wifi, sometime works with 4G data network but most of time don't work.
No problem receiving other people photos but can't send out, always show Failed Delivery.
Done rebooting, backup, and all...
Am I the only one having this problem?

I Have the same problem but never had the problem before. I am using WiFi only and never had the problem before my last Apple upgrade.
i Can send pics to other iPhone users but not to android phones.
Powering down my phone and turning it back on helped me. After I turned the phone back on, and I went back to my text message with the photo the was "not delivered", I tried it again and it sent in a zip(quickly!), no lag time or anything. Thank you!
