Hardware Test Error

I just did a hardware test and got this code:

ERROR: 4SNS/1/40000000 'TmOP'

Does anyone have any idea what is that supposed to be..

Thanks for your help.

It could be heat or ram. At least that's what some have been told. Apple Care would tell you they have pages of these error codes, and that they don't know. When I got that error, they told me to exchange it since I was within the exchange period. But it is a hardware error, and you need to call to set up a repair. That code will also not appear every time you run the AHT. Some did get it to come up by getting the computer heated up by taxing it.

Yeah, you should do so. I also received the same AHT error and
apple support declared the book DOA (dead on arrival). They'll send me a
new one. I was told that the error has got something to do with a "thermal
unit". My book becomes pretty hot (all over!) even under normal use and none
of the fans ever ramp up (although they do if forced during the AHT), so I
guess it's a temperature sensor issue.

I just got the same error.

And what made me check it was the problem I had below did you get this problem first. I figured out how to do the hardware test but don't know if anyone else had this problem below.

Hi This is my first time posting a question regarding my MBP a couple of time's now I've left my computer on and the charger plugged in I've left it there and instead of stopping charging when it's full I think it's not sometimes I come back and the screen says warning shut down computer by holding down power button for 6 seconds. I unplug the charger it's super hot and the mac is past boiling point. I mean it runs hot sometime but when the problem has happened it's really hot. Also I never hear fans

1)Has this happend to anyone?
2)How do I do a hardware test?

Thank you.

Hi Peter

It is relation to the Logic Board. This is taken from Apple Sources for confidentiality reasons I cannot give any further information suffice to say the error code relates to the logic board and the user should hand over his MacBook Pro to Apple for further testing and replacement if he has the correct cover for his machine. They should at least be able to see the error themselves and run further more extensive tests.
