mac app store error 20

I solved this by logging into my account through App Store and updating my Credit Card information. It was missing the security code. This is even though, the updates were free.

Very same issue. Resolved by updating credit card info. It had expired.

Just had this problem. What i did was sign into my account in the App Store and hit the Reset all warnings for buying and downing button. Problem solved.

What worked for me was to sign out of the App Store and sign back in. It might be as simple as that.

Yep can confirm this worked for me as well on our ODM server this afternoon.

I had the same problem. The reason was that I was signed in a different apple id, changed it to the one that i dowloaded the apps and it was working

I forgot my password and changed it multiple times and I was getting this error as well when trying to update my apps. I went to the main page on the App Store and signed in with my new password and now my apps are updating.

Got this error - apparently - because Apple decided my password wasn't strong enough. Impossible to login to AppStore, it just kept asking me to login over and over without a clue as to why my login wouldn't work. Had to go to https://appleid.apple.com/account/home to login, then choose and set a new password that satisfied Apple's requirements.

Oops, spoke too soon. I now have a new password that works everywhere (incl. here) EXCEPT the AppStore. Still getting nowhere in the AppStore.
