I'm on Canada's west coast & when I phoned Apple I got someone from Texas! They said I'm one of the 1% that can't get their email. It was supposed to be fixed by about 3:00 - whose time zone I don't know - it wasn't mine! 8) Frustrating isn't it!!! Both my daughters (one in Alberta & one in Ontario) have Macs & their mail is working fine.

After this, it will be hard to defend Apple to my many friends and colleagues who chose PC's for their businesses. I was virtually put out of business for an entire day on account of my inability to access my emails. For all I know the outage will continue for another day, another week, or another month. Apple's service failure today has already cost me thousands of dollars, yet I can not get one single person in the company to tell me what is going on or when my email service will be restored. I'm sorry, the note on the status page ("Service will be restored ASAP") just doesn't cut it. All those people out there who have chided me for years about Apple not being a product for businesses were right after all. There is no excuse for Apple's service failure or their cowardly silence today. Does anyone remember several years ago when Jet Blue experienced a service interruption that inconvenienced thousands of passengers around the country? The CEO came out and apologized for their screw up and then published a "Passenger's Bill of Rights" the following day telling how they would make it up to their customers in the future when they were delayed or otherwise inconvenienced. I would like to see Tim Cook have the guts and decency to do just that. This is a disgrace to the company and something that would not have been tolerated under Steve Jobs.

Los Angeles, still down,

The latest iCloud status page update even more vague and less informative than before, they have now removed the 1.1% of affected users? I guess it's gone up and now it's PR damage control before the "big" release of whatever.

This this raises the bar on poor customer communications and service for any large corporation.

This is a disaster for my business communications.

At first I noticed my Notes not syncing with my iPad. I search for everything I could find and went as far as resetting iOS to factory then starting over. Notes still didn't sync. Then after some research, I discover Notes is tied in with iCloud mail. So I log in to icloud.com with my account and was not able to go to the mail section. When my girlfriend logs in with her account, it allows her to open up the mail section. So I wasted time resetting everything. At least now iOS is fresh.

Paris, still down and it's been more than 36 hours.

Down on my iOS iPhones and on both my MacBook Pro and iMac. I haven't received mail and wasn't able to send any since Monday 10th Sept afternoon (Paris time) through Mail or thru iCloud!!!

Is this another kind of September 11 attack ?

Anyway I would appreciate some information on Apple.com sites (French or American) but nothing ! I guess, no I'm sure, that this wouldn't have been treated this way when iPapy was alive !

Same here it's a disaster, for I work from home.
