iCloud mail isn't working today, anyone else having problems?

The lines of communication are critical when it comes to iCloud and Cloud services and Apple has fumbled the ball on this. I can see mail going down for an hour or 2 but when you can't fix it you should be looking at going back to what works best. Keeping peoples info on massive servers just doesn't seem to cut it.
nearly 24h and no icloud mail.
apple says it's 1%, but 2 out of 3 people here in the office that use icloud mail (about 25) have no access to it.
so by this rough poll 30% are out, and for nearly 24h.
this is horrible! definitely need to start using a reliable alternative (gmail)

Same as all of the above. Im now ging on 24 hours wiht no email and no support and everyone at Apple Support acts like its no big deal. In fact they act like they have not heared of the problem before i called. Its frustrating that they seem to have no sense of urgency.

iCloud could not load mail. Report to apple etc message. I've had this for over 24 hours on my Macbook Pro (Lion), web browser (Chrome) from work and no emails coming through on my iPad.
Please sort this out asap!
They really should give out more information!
Their status page constantly says "next info in three hours" uninterrupted since nearly two days now and the support stuff does not see more than we alll see on that page.
At least they could say if their data center is on fire or if the new iPhone presentation is causing this or whatever.
Leaving us in the dark for 30 âš hours now is bad attitude.
I wonder if they're holding off on a fix because of a corporate hold on related iOS functionality. Since the iPhone 5 is widely expected to be announced today, and with it iOS 6 released, I bet there's integrated iCloud functionality that Apple doesn't want to go live prior to the media event coming in a couple hours. If this is something that needs to be fixed in software, then they might have decided to wait for the several hours before the iOS 6 dependencies can go live too. In that case, then we'd all seem to be victims of horrible timing.

After 35 hours I can now send and receive e-mail. But all mail that was sent to me during that time is nowhere to be found.
Not sure but I have e-mails trickling through now. Seems like the fix finally came through. Again, most Cloud services suck in my mind, I would rather backup my own material and keep it on several hard drives instead of relying on some other company to do it for me. But ASAP should me a lot faster turn around time than this.
Same here in Europe (NL). All my mail in the last 2 days is lost. Frustrating. 😟
I expected important messages from clients. My work and income depends on mail.
Hope Apple can retrieve the lost mail.

Never had this long of an outage with Google Mail, Yahoo Mail, HotMail since I also have all three for longer than me.com or iCloud Mail... Since me.com was in part, a paid service (I paid for it annually), Apple never dared to keep servers down this long...
Seems that Apple support just chose to ignor all the mail issues we've had in the last 36 hours.
Surprisingly enough, everything seemed to start working (around 1:30 PM PST) after the BIG announcement of iPhone 5 / IOS6, like everybody suspected it would....
Moving most of my important incoming mail to my paid email provider starting today.. Apple may have good products and O/S, but I know their services are starting to suck, as well as support for these services.
Never to trus the Cloud again... till it's all ready for prime time...
ShawnS: It is coming through but at a later time, I sent out 5 test e-mails and they are just coming through now. I sent 3 this morning and then a couple more in the afternoon and they all just came through but not at the times I sent them...

Here 3 .me accounts.
Two are offline 2 days. So the 1% mentioned seems a bit strange.
The 2 accounts offline were formal .mac accounts...
