I am trying to block someone from contacting me via imessage. Their number is blocked through my carrier, but since they have an iPhone they can contact me via imessage. Can someone please help?

The problem has nothing to do with the phone. Either the carrier or the government is blocking the activation.

One way of doing it is to turn off iMessage option in the settings. However, in the case no one else would be able to send you an IMessage.
