LOTS of people are receiving this error (including myself). It probably has nothing to do with your computer at all but the fact that Apple's servers probably weren't prepared for the massive numbers of attemped updates. DNS fixes have been posted, but these don't work for me. Unfortunately, probably the best solution is either to wait or, if you're looking for the update to iTunes, go to: http://support.apple.com/downloads/ where you can find the latest software.
Same problem here in Lima, Peru
Didn't solve nothing for me... problem continues...
Same error here for the last 18 hours. The killall suggestion didn't work.
Same problem here in Berlin, Germany.
sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder didn´t help.
it has solved by it self
Hi all. This problem has resolved itself. Do not touch anything. Both MBP + iMac work well. - Australia.
Works now.
Do I open Terminal as an App on an iPad/iPhone?
Do I download it from the App Store or another source?
FWIW - I am seeing this error based on firewall testing. If you have the ability to use a different network your mileage may vary.
