iTunes 10.7.0.21
---------------------------
Problems after upgrade:
1) iTunes store crashes
2) videos or songs don't play
My OS: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit SP1
Solution (the only solution i found):
1) export your library.xml to somewhere safe (File>Library>Export Library) (if you want export your playlist)
2) use revo uninstaller to completely uninstall itunes (ensure that your itunes library is backedup somewhere safe)
3) ensure that itunes is removed from registry
4) uninstall anything related to iTunes; such as QuickTime, Bonjour, AppleTalk, etc...
5) reboot your system
6) fresh install of iTunes
7) import your library.xml (file>library>Import Library)
Total time : 5mins. (well for some it could take 30 at max).

This solution worked for me and it should work for everyone with the similar type of problem(s) with the similar type of OS. 🙂
Hope this helps!

I tried running in Compatibility mode (Windows XP SP3) and it now works! I'm not getting an exception when I hit the iTunes Store anymore. Note: I haven't tried to buy anything or sync with this particular computer and installation of iTunes, but I can preview songs and view different media in the store.
Regardless of the workaround, I hope they release a patch ASAP.
I got it to work by installing the latest version of Quicktime. Before that, it crashed before completing startup. I tried reinstalling twice, and it didn't work. Then I updated quicktime, and voila, it started up fine after that.
I am running Win 7 x64 and was running into the same issues. I made a backup copy of the following file: C:\Users\"user name"\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes. I then deleted the contents of the directory and ITunes loaded without any issues.
I was having trouble getting 10.7 to launch (I have Windows 7 64-bit). I tried for a few days to get it to work, and the simple trick that worked for me was uninstalling Quicktime. Itunes has worked with no problems after that. I've since reinstalled Quicktime and everything is still working.
If you manage to stop the connection to Apple Store home page (change fast to music library, for an example) right after iTunes start, you can keep iTunes open.
Select music library and close iTunes. Next times you launch it, no connection to Apple Store is performed and iTunes opens again at music library.
Once there, just after opening iTunes, if I try to connect to Apple Store home page again, a new crash occurs. To avoid that I do the following:
Right after I open iTunes again (music library appears), go to Ping, then iTunes connects normally. If afterwards I try to go to Apple Store home page again, it loads with no problems.
Note that if you close iTunes while in the Apple Store home page, next time you launch it the problem will happen again.
seems this version of itunes is a buggy one. When I started the 10.7.0.21 on my Win7 64-bit (German), I could only see the frame of the itunes window (empty window in an aero glass style). Then I tried to start itunes in Compatibility mode (I'm using the mode for xp sp 2) and now it is working. I guess this is not the way how it should work, but at least I can use itunes now...

I got it to work for me by going into the start menu and running msconfig. From there, I disabled bonjour, and MobileMe, and also disable iTunes from the start up section. Then when I rebooted, iTunes fired right up for me.
Thanks for all good advice. I tried all, my PC was complely empty of any kind of Apple-prodduct (iTunes, Quicktime etc.). The only thing I couln't remove was some kind of library somehow connected to my company's network settings (Windows\CSC\v2.0.6\namespace\mydomain\..\iTunes\).
And iTunes just wouldn't start!
But today, I just installed the new version 11.0.0.163 for Windows 7, 64 bit and..... now iTunes works again.
Hip, hip....
DO NOT DISABLE -- RIP IT ALL OUT.
the BONJOUR "system" is corrupt.
I tried to UNinstall it many times but it did not fully uninstall.
get "revo" uninstaller or similar, there are good free ones out there. run that a few times over the cursed bonjour and reboot each time.
after that the 10.7 SAILED in.
Try deleting the files in this directory. C:\Users\"user name"\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes. This should cause iTunes to open like it was just installed. It has worked for everything but video that I'm aware of. If some of your media is not working I would try and reimport it again.
Solved (for me anyway)
After waiting a very long time iTunes eventually became responsive. I then disabled "backup to iCloud" and all was well.
Hi all,
I was not one of the smart ones who went to the forums to read up about issues people were having once they installed it. So, I am one of the unlucky ones who experienced a catastrophic failure of the new itunes update. My issue with the new version: none of my movies or videos had audio or video once I installed it. My solution: uninstall itunes (rip it out entirely). Download and reinstall the previous version of itunes (10.6.#.#). Also had to tinker with the permissions of my temp folder as well as delete the itunes library file (which then will reform once you open itunes again but you will need to “add folder to Library” to tell itunes where all your videos and music are again). Overall, a real pain in the *#%! Thanks Apple. That is about an hour of my life I will never get back due to your overall incompetence.

Uninstalling Quicktime fixed my issue with being unable to access the iTunes store.
