Missing All Pre-2012 Pictures

Hi,

I upgraded to Aperture version 3.3.2 in the summer when it was released. Since the upgrade, I have "lost" all my pictures imported prior to January 2nd, 2012. All my older projects (pre-2012) have no thumbnails anymore, say they contain zero photos, and say they have a creation date of January 2nd, 2012.

I have tried to repair permissions, repair database, and even tried to rebuild the database with no success. It repaired and rebuilt with no errors, but my picutures are still missing. The masters are still there, if I look inside the library in finder.

Thanks for your help!

Ryan,

you do not mention checking the filters, so just to be sure - have you checked the filters in the Browser and the Library Inspector, if all filters are cleared and no items excluded? and also checked for Invisible filters - see Frank Caggiano's user tip:

Images not appearing in browser, search filter is cleared

And have you tried the other Trouble Shooting Basics http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3805?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US, removing Preferences?

If none of this helps, make sure you have a backup of your Aperture library and try, if you can rebuild the library by creating a new, empty library and importing your current library into it.

Regards

Léonie
