I bought mine 630am Friday morning because local news told me apple was taking preorders. Apples website said thursday night that pre orders would begin at 9am. Now I'm stuck waiting till oct. Another thing I don't get how I placed two orders for the Same phone carrier and mb size and the second one is coming faster. Apple needs to get organized. I hope I will get bumped up

Sorry to burst your bubble guys, but the 21st is only 3 days away (almost 2). If you have not recieved any indication at all that your package will arrive by the 21st, then it won't.

My shipment is from Nashville also. I live in NC and FedEx states by 3pm on the 21st but Verizon bumped my expected Date up from 9/21 to 9/20 today. Not sure why they bumped it up but I could only hope I get it on 9/20! Praying for 9/20 but it will probably be the 21st.

This isn't accurate. Apple hasn't notified all customers, but many pre-orders are in transit as we speak and are being held at various UPS staging locations for delivery on 9/21.

You can check the status by using your ship-to phone number as a the shipment reference number on the UPS site. I did so, and saw that mine just departed Anchorage where it had been held for a bit.

This is what I though too, it even said so on the UPS site. But I check UPS now and it just says 9/21, End of the Day part is gone lol.

Possibly coming earlier?

Mine comes in thru UPS. For me "end of the day " means 3-4pm :). I usually print out the pre-sign form just in case. Don't want to miss this surprise :) have fun.

Gordon is correct. I haven't been notifed by Apple that my order has shipped, but my phone has also left Anchorage.

i finally got a tracking number but it only says a label is created anybody know if thats a good sign to get phone on 21st. also got a an email today from primier say i should get it as early as the 21st. THE other thing is my card is no longer pending charges, it returned the money to my acct

Ordered through ATT's web site the minute it was available. Everything went well. Received two confirmation emails. Nothing has been updated via ATT or with the Fedex tracking number. Called ATT just to make sure. She said everything looks fine with a ship date of 9/20. Well, it won't be getting here on Friday with a ship date of 9/20.

My experience is everything is often updated the day before. I actually received my 4 a day early with no updated tracking info so who knows.
