Any updates from anyone on iPhone 5 shipping? (for people w/ Oct. 5 delivery)

Mine also has a delivery date of today shown but tracking says it's in Korea. Whaaaa?

The tracking info for my iphone says it's been sitting in Korea for a few days. Maybe it continued on but the shipment failed to get updated? My husband's phone shipped a few hours before mine and he got his on Tuesday :/

I ordered mine at 6:35AM EDT on 9/14 through the AppleStore App. The original deliver by date was Oct. 5th. I received a shipping notice on Saturday 9/22. It was shipped via UPS. I picked it up yesterday at lunch and got it all setup last night. This is the third iPhone I have had, and all three have been ordered through Apple. Never any problems. I ordered the black 64GB AT&T version.

My phone was also shipped on Saturday 9/22 and the tracking says it's been stuck in Korea since the 25th but still has a delivery date of today (the 27th). My boyfriend also ordered his phone at the same time and received his on Tuesday (the 25th). Anyone know what the deal is?

I have two phones stuck in Incheon, Korea with UPS. They sat in Zheng Zhou for two days without moving, and now they've been stuck in Korea for three days. Looking at shipments from others, it appears that UPS flies a 747 out of Incheon for the US (Louisville or Anchorage) at around Midnight Korea time, which, as I write this, is in about an hour. The shipments are still listed for delivery today (9/27), but that would seem physically impossible at this point. I've called both UPS and Apple with NO help at all. They just say "Don't worry, it will get there." On the other hand, my daughter ordered a day after me, her phone left China a day earlier and she got it yesterday, also UPS, but through Hong Kong rather than Korea. Next time I'm ordering for store pickup.

I received a message from UPS My Choice stating that my iPhone 5 had a delivery date of 9/26. It is now 9/27. There are location and time stamps for China then Korea then Hong Kong then Alaska then Louisville. Louisville was the last location and had an arrival time of 2:06am on 9/26 - that's over 32 hours ago. I live in Chicago and it shouldn't take that long to arrive. UPS won't give any information except "We don't have that information at this time". ***?

I feel a lot like I wont be getting my phone today and the delivery status lies to me.

Of course, my tracking info also says that my order was processed 2 days after the origin scan, so who knows what to believe. Also, my husband's phone - which arrived Tuesday and shipped to the same address as mine has - never went to Korea at all but instead went via Hong Kong.

So we're upset that they tell us our delivery date will be Oct 5th. Then they ship it early and we're still upset. Jesus tapdancing Christ, it's no wonder people make fun of Apple folks.

Hm. Well, mine is still in Hong Kong. I have a delivery date of MONDAY 10/1/12. Even though, I live in Louisville.

Am I frustrated... yes, a little... but it's a first world problem, meh!! LOL.

Not really. I'm not upset with Apple. I'm annoyed with UPS. Apple promised it to be before October 5th and are trying to deliver on that promise. UPS promised I'd have this package today barring any natural disasters and is failing to meet that promise. Unfortunately, there isn't a forum thread for iphones at the UPS website or I'd be there.

I think the problem is more with UPS, not Apple. It's frustrating to see something ship and tell you one date and on that actual date see that the item is actually in Korea and not the US. In addition, it seems most people complaining ordered two phones at the same time and had one delivered two days prior.

As I suspected, my iPhones also finally departed Incheon, Korea with the same 11:56 departure as NuiX.

jtrue28 - my concern is the lack of transparency/information. By the way, I've pre-ordered every iPhone and iPad at launch, and they've always been shipped FedEx and always arrived on time and with excellent visibility. UPS seems to have been unprepared for the volume.

I have the same issue, but was able to get a bit of additional info when I called UPS this morning. Mine was also scheduled to be delivered end of day today, 9/27 (originally 10/5 so I am a bit disappointed, but fine with this delay) but has been stuck in Korea since 9/25. The lady I spoke with said there is a HUGE shipment (obviously) going out of Korea and that is what is causing the delay. She said to keep checking and once your status shows a departure scan from Korea (mine FINALLY did just this am) and it hits American soil it will be overnighted to be delivered within 24 business hours - so no 9/27 delivery for those on this flight. For what it's worth I ordered mine @ 6:00 am PST. Here's what I am showing currently:

I just chatted with UPS. They said that Apple doesn't want my package delivered before Friday. What??

Me: OK. I thought this was UPS Expedited service? I have to say that I don't understand why it takes over 48 hours to move a package which is less than 5 hours by car.

UPS.: Its because its an international package, and also your shipper didn't want your package to arrive before Friday.

Me: Interesting. Apple wants their products to be delayed?

UPS.: Apple has given us the delivery date for their packages, we cannot deliver them sooner.

Me: OK, I'll forward this to them.

That doesn't sound right to me. It makes sense if it was last week and they didn't want them delivered before the 9/21 launch, but not now. Good call to forward this....
