Final update: Both phones are now fully set up, have zero issues and are quite nice. I backed up the iPhone 4's, turned them off, then set up both new phones using those backups. Must say the setup was easy and everything, including all pictures, all music, notes, email boxes, etc., transferred over pretty quickly. I only had to go into my Apple ID payment and add the authorization code and do the same for a few Apps (like Starbucks). All my settings were there as they had been on the previous phone and it was really cool that both phones knew the phone numbers they were supposed to be. I've had no Wifi issues, no email push issues, actually no issues whatsoever. And while the world seems aghast at the New Maps app, it seems quite accurate thus far.
The two old phones are now cleaned up, all data removed, sim cards taken out and are boxed and waiting for shipping to Gezelle.com. I sold them to Gazelle online last night. They were both iPhone 4 16 GB. Both are in flawsless condition and have been in cases since they came out of their box 28 months ago. I paid $199/phone and sold them to Gazelle for $150/apiece. Given I used them for 28 months, that means they cost me $1.75/month to use (not including cell/data/text message charges with AT&T). But at least to me, that's a pretty fantastic return on my investment.
To anyone still waiting, you're going to be really happy with your new phone. They are much lighter than the previous phone and since they are housed in annodized aluminum, I really suggest you put them in a nice protective case. I had ordered CaseMate Cases, which arrived long before the phones did, so the new phones are already enjoying their new colorful homes.
Take care everyone........
