Guys, go into the App Store and download the apps you are looking for, then when you download the app it gives you the option to add the app to your passbook. You are getting there error message because you didn't add the apps to your passbook. There are only like 10 apps approved so far, Walgreens, Target, Some of the Airlines.
Apple didn't do a good job explaining how passbook works. Download Walgreens app, enter your rewards cars, add to passbook... It's easy!
when updates did not work for me, i deleted the app and installed afresh. It worked for me...
I don't like to sound stupid, but how did you delete the app? ....The icon the update left on my phone does not appear to allow an X when i try to get rid of it...
hey. yes. in that case, just restart. delete the app u want to update. and download again. this should work. all the best.
HI guys now is October 1 2012, I tried everything that was said here but for some reason It is not working for me.
is anyone else having the same problem It started excatly October 1, 2012 at 00:00 for US time 12:00pm for me in Asia.
Is there a update that happened with apple ID before 12:00pm for me I just updated something and It update I also installed 1 game but after 12:00 I cant use Apple Store anymore
I was having this problem but was able to finally get past it.
When you get to the screen that says you've accepted and to try your purchase again, do NOT click Done. Instead, press the home button, then force quit the App Store app (double click home, hold finger on icon, then click red/white symbol). When you go back in to the App Store, it will no longer prompt.
It only worked with updating one app but now I'm back to "Cannot connect to the iTunes store". Tried it a couple of times as well as restarting my 4s on iOS6 but still no luck. :-(
I can connect to my iTunes on my iPhone 4S when I go to the iTunes Store, but when I try to download an app, it says it cannot connect the iTunes Store. I have tried turning off and on my phone and turning off and on Wi-fi. Confused, please help!
Try logging out of iTunes and then logging back in
After trying all suggestions with no luck, I eventually got around the issue by changing my DNS settings against my wifi connection to google - 8.8.8.8
This is not working for me. Tried it multiple times logging in an out of iTunes as well & changing the date, switching the phone off and on again.
Any other advice you can give, as what you adviced worked with updating 1 app but after that no luck.

None of solutions are working for me. I get "cannot connect to iTunes store" in iTunes, iBooks and app store. Problems appeared yesterday (03. Oct). I've tried time&date trick, loggin out and in again, rebooting ipad and apps and updated payment info. Everything's working with iPhone 5 just fine.
You have apps that go with passbook right? If you don't have any apps that go with passbook, you will get the error message. Starbucks just added passbook yesterday. Download the app, add gift card to passbook
Well the problem is that I can't download anything from the app store, because it "cannot contact to iTunes store". And the problem is only with iPad. So the problem isn't with passbook, because I haven't ever used it. I've tried to download apps and books, free and not free. No success.
Oh ok, so you can't search for apps then? What I'd you deleted iTunes and reinstalled.
