iOS 6 App Store Crashing when trying to view Purchased apps

After upgrading to iOS 6 my iPhone 4s can't display purchased apps. I start the App Store, touch updates and then touch purchased. I get a spining circle with Loading... for about a minute and then the App Store just exits and I'm back to the iPhone's first screen.

I've seen similar behavior with my new iPad after updating to iOS6. I haven't seen it crash but when starting App Store and then touching purchased it just stays at a spinning circle and says Loading... It never changes.

I've done the obvious stuff, power cycle and hold both buttons for a reset.

I'm experiencing this same problem since updating to iOS 6 on my iPhone 4 & 3GS. My MacBook and other iPhone 4 (which is still iOS 5) haven't been affected by this problem. I've also lost the ability to get automatic downloads on my iPhone 4 & 3GS with iOS 6. I've tried shutting all the apps down running in the background, power cycled many times, neither of which has worked. I may consider making a genius appointment this week.

Hi, I just want to put my complaint here about the same issue, hoping that apple will provide a fix soon as the number of users with this bug increases.

I've noticed also that searching in the App Store for general words like "PDF" crashes the app in my iPod touch 4 gen. And apps are noticeable slower and one I used a lot (a PDF reader named ReaddleDocs) crashes almost constantly (it didn't crash before upgrading to iOS 6), which makes me think it's a ram management problem in iOS itself.

Sent Apple Customer Support an email about this issue (purchased apps tab stuck loading/crashing in iOS 6; especially when people have bought a lot of apps) and received back: "Apple is currently working toward a resolution for the issue you have reported." Hopefully we'll see it in 6.0.1. Looks like 14,000+ views almost 100 comments got peoples attention.

Count me in as being one of the people whose purchased apps tab just keeps trying to load and then crashes. I have an iPhone 4 using iOS 6 with over 1000 apps. None of the fixes mentioned have worked for me either. I just thought I'd add another voice to this thread so maybe Apple will notice it. Hope they fix it soon. The cloud isn't much use to me if I can't see what I've purchased.

I came here to see if there was an easy answer - guess not 😟.

After the iOS6 upgrade to my 4S, I experienced intermittent crashes while in the App Store.

Now, it has been happening consistently for the past four days. Most of the time, it is either when I am in the Genius area or when I am opening an app up online to review the details and reviews about it before I think about purchasing it. BOOM. Crash.

I'm not running any apps in the background when I do this (already made sure everything is closed down) and I have plenty of memory / space on my phone.

For apps I have already purchased and which notify me of an update, I can usually get to those, download the updates with no issues.....

I'll wait for the fix because obviously, it ain't just me....

P.S. Even though I have a small number of apps installed/purchased, I can see in diagnostics that appstore is crashing lots and there's an associate Low Memory message. Interesting information...

Still stuck at never, ever having been able to access Genius in the App Store without an immediate crash, not since updating my 4s to ios6. I don't have hundreds of apps either, and nothing to do with podcasts. Same exact thing on my Touch. Worst "update" ever, and this has been going on how long now? Feh.

Is anybody still having this problem? It started for me on Monday night and is still ongoing. Apple has not been very helpful.

The problem is on all my iOS devices, including iPhone 5, 4, iPad 3 and two iPod touches.

All were/are running iOS 6 without any issues until this issue cropped up on Monday night.
