Am I the only one having ios 6 ipad 3 wi-fi issues

Having the same problem

iPad 2 wouldn't let me select a wi-fi network after update and then kept throwing up an apple log-in page... *** apple sort it...

When I enter the password into my iPad2 it connects for a brief second then redirects me to an apple.com "Log In" page that reads

"Hmm, the page you're looking for can't be found"

now this is strange, did a network reset on my iPhone 4s and it worked, now it's also working for my iPad 3 and other iPhone 4. ***.......

But how are we going to update if we cannot connect to the Internet?

Had this problem at a friends house. His wireless had no password. I made it wpa security with a password and it fixes it.

Before that I could get him into his network by manually going into the settings and choosing renew lease.

Turning the proxy setting to Auto fixed it for me too! I had been messing with this thing for over an hour, with no luck. Thanks!!! 😉

Agreed....that is strange that now it won't go there now...Big Brother is watching you!

I didn't make any adjustments but it looks like everything is working fine now. Perhaps whatever changes Apple needed to make on their end has happened. Hopefully, everyone else's is working.

But i don't have an http proxy so I don't understand why it helped, what the **** is going on!

I'm having the same problem except with my iPhone 3GS. I updated my iPad2 and it works fine with my wifi. My router is an Apple Extreme and it has never given me any problems in the past. I hope this gets fixed before I get my iPhone 5!

The issue may be resolved now... I had tried the proxy fix on my iPhone 4S, which worked, then I went to do it on my iPad 2 and found it connected to WiFi without redirecting to that www.apple.com site. Maybe Apple fixed the problem.

The big question, however, is why are iOS 6 devices hitting something on Apple's servers before WiFi can be used? What function does that serve? Perhaps they are using that as part of the functionality that automatically pulls up a browser window for WiFi networks that require authentication?

The problem seems fixed for me now as well.

This worked for me and 2 other people I know:

FIX:

Settings > Wi-Fi > (Network...) > "Blue Circle Arrow"

Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and set:

HTTP Proxy to Auto
