Empty SMS after iOS6 update

Fantastic post. Worked a treat.

I downloaded a firefox addon called SQL Manager, Opened up the 3d0d7e5fb2ce288813306e4d4636395e047a3d28 file, ran the sql query

select message.rowid, handle.id, message.text from message, handle where message.handle_id=handle.rowid

and got all my texts extracted. Only one question. Could do create the SQL query that would extract the date for me please?

same problem here in Italy after iOS6 Upgrade (on 3gs - 4 and 4s as well).

We are waiting for a new release.

Same problem here, but not only for the "commercial" messages. I've lost a lot of wonderful messages on my little child.

only with sms befor upgrade. I have same issue and comercials sms received after upgrade are ok.

I have a very similar issue after upgrading to iOS6.

I can see a preview (2 lines) of all the messages that existed before the upgrade, in Messages app. However, as soon as I open it, the contents disappear. When I go back to message list the message that I tried to open moves all the way down and preview also disappears.

I am able to see the preview only after manually closing the Messages app from springboard and then reopening the app.

Weird issue. The messages that disappear are the one's adverts and info messages mostly from banks, fund houses, credit cards etc. Some of them are really important. hope Apple takes notice.

Also noticed the same issue. Hope apple has a proper fix soon.

I have exactly the same problem. All seems to be fine with SMS/Text Messages received from actual numbers but those that have come from a company (where there is not actually a number) are affected. They initially appear in the list of messages with a short preview but then when you tap on the message it opens to a blank page. That action then causes the sender to be moved to the bottom of the list of messages and then without the preview. A force kill of the application repositions the messages in the right place but the actual content remains blank and the symptom described above simply repeats. I have also tried a hard reset of the phone (holding sleep/wake and home down together until the Apple silver logo appears) and this does not solve the problem.

I've same problem in UAE, especially sms form bank, carriers & companies.

i hope that Apple will solve all the issues as soon as possible.

I have the same issue here. It's very strange !!!!!

I have the same problem but what i noticed that the SMS are still in the iPhone but i can't see them as i extracted the SMSs from the iPhone using SMS tools.

Italy here. And I have the same issue. Empty companies Text Messages and red badge with perpetual # 1. I'm hoping it will be fixed soon.
