I just want to remind everyone, many many tweaks will "fix" the issue for a few days. So while I'm hopeful, I think it would be most helpful if you report back in a week.
In general, I also think it's often safer to wait a bit before updating to a brand new version of iOS. Aside from issues sometimes associated with a new major release, I've seen older out-of-warrenty iPhones get bricked by an OS update (and Apple makes it very difficult to revert to an earlier iOS version once an iDevice has been updated).
I may be a bit paranod, but I wanted to throw out some words of caution. While I love to be on the bleeding edge (I will order the 5S on Friday), I now wait a little bit before updating the OS, especially with out-of-warranty iDevices.
As a side note, my syncs have been working pretty well lately, and I have no clue why...
